Preston is in a full spica cast. It's weird but I wasn't shocked by it nor scared by it. I guess all the researching I did before the surgery made all the difference. As for Preston, he is little cranky and clingy but it's getting better everyday. I think he is fine until he realizes that he can't move his legs then he freaks out. But for the most part, he is doing really well and he is almost getting back to his normal happy self.
Henry and I are finding creative ways to make him stay comfortable and trying to treat him as normal as possible. Diapering has not been too bad but we are tyring to keep it from soiling the cast as much as possible. We are pretty tired though as Preston has been getting up every 3-4 hours during the night, probably b/c he's not very comfortable. They say babies get used it by the 2nd week or so.
