Do we have a scholar in the works?

Preston had his monthly RSV shot again yesterday. He weighed in at 17 pounds 13 ounces! Wow- I was little bit shocked. He's been eating well but I didn't think he would be almost 18 pounds.

Fun Weekend

Preston had a very fun weekend. He finally got to reunite with some of his NICU friends. I don't know about the babies but we adults had a great time catching up. It's so amazing how all the babies are thriving and doing great despite their early births. Thanks Julia and Arvid for hosting. Preston is really due to meet Spencer and Truman as well! Hopefully that can happen very soon. Here are some pictures...

Back to work...

Sorry it's been awhile since I updated. It's already been 2 weeks since I started work again. I miss Preston a lot but it's been nice having some adult stimulation/interactions! :)

Preston is doing great. He is now 16 pounds and eating solids pretty well. He is now rolling over so tummy time can no longer be enforced! haa. haa. He loves to sit but is not strong enough to sit by himself yet.

I am still pumping... and my milk suppy has been dropping again so I take large doses of fenugreek to help with the supply. I now have to supplement some of his bottles with forumla b/c all of my frozen milk are gone and I don't produce enough to keep up with how much he eats now. ! I had so much frozen milk saved up and I can't believe they are all gone! It's just amazing to me how quickly he has grown and I am just so thankful how well he is doing.

Oh my time sure flies...

I only have 1 more week until I go back to work full time. I really enjoyed my time with Preston these few months but I have been itching to go back to work. I really have new respect for stay home moms. I think it's so much harder to stay home with your baby than to go to work. I am sure when the time comes, I am going to be really sad to leave him. Thankfully, my mother-in-law will watch Preston until he can go to the daycare.

I started him on some rice cereal this week. He did okay but I don't think he likes it too much. He gives me the funniest face! lol. Lately, he's been really into touching and grabbing things. The other day, he insisted that he hold the bottle and feed himself so I let him... Only if he can burp himself... lol

Happy New Year!

Sorry, it's been awhile since I updated. We were busy traveling ove the holidays. With much thought , I decided to take Preston up to Vancouver, BC for the holidays to see Henry's family. Up to now, I have been very strict about Preston being out and about, but my pediatrician thought it would be okay as long as Preston was not around sick adults or babies.

We had a great time and Preston did so well on his first trip out of the country. He did not cry or get fussy meeting new people. He just smiled and seem to enjoy all the attention he got.

He is doing GREAT! We had our 4 month (adjusted) and 6 month (acutal) appointment and he is now 15 pounds!!! He was little cranky from all the shots (he got 4 shots total including the flu shot) so he is sleeping right now.

Oh- forgot to mention, we had a 3rd opinion at the children's hospital regarding when is the best time to get his hip surgery and the 3rd doctor also recommended that we wait until he is 9 months adjusted. We are now okay about waiting and just enjoying our little boy till the cast time.
